Paul Tims of Georgetown TN took his first win of the 2002 season Saturday night at Cleveland Speedway in the "Johnston Coca Cola" Tennessee Memorial Race. The Double Points 30 lap feature event was highlighted with the hilarious antics of Speed-O the Clown who pleased the crowd for the second year in a row. Tims piloting the "Cleveland Construction & Millwright, Port City Racing South" GRT Pontiac Gran Prix Super Late Model was followed across the line by reigning RoY Todd Morrow and 2000 RoY John Owenby. Robby Mason debuted his machine in fourth with Eddie Benefield rounding out the top five. Bobby Doss of Cleveland took his second consecutive win of the season in the Claimer Late Model feature race. Richard Dixon also of Cleveland regained the Hobby Division points lead defeating the "Murphy (NC) Mafia" Another one of the Doss sponsored racecars took the Pony Stock feature for the second consecutive week as Cleveland-er Donald Forgey wheeled into victory lane. And in the Street division finale Alex Nash of Chattanooga dethroned the current points leader in the 12 lap "Anything Goes" feature.
