Cleveland Speedway Announces 2003 Schedule

"For the last 25 years Cleveland Speedway has enjoyed an amazing amount of success. The reason for that success has been a lot of hard work by a lot of people," commented Joe Lee. "Cleveland Speedway has always been fortunate to have the best fans, racers, sponsors and some of the hardest working help you will find anywhere. None of this would have been possible without everyone's help."CLEVELAND, Tenn. (Dec. 30) Cleveland Speedway has scheduled from 15 to 21 regular races highlighted by five Southern All Star events for the 2003 season. Starting in March with the 8th Annual SAS Shamrock the season will conclude on November 22 with the 15th Annual Gobbler 75.

"Over the years we have had out share of weather related problems early in the season. Some years we have really abused our fans and competitors trying to race that early," said Joe Lee Johnson, Cleveland Speedway's owner and promoter. "With the El Nino deal this winter I recommend that our fans and competitors pencil in the regular racing for March and April. We will watch the weather situation and around the Shamrock make out final decision on the early part of the schedule."
