Cleveland Speedway 2008 Rules
These rules are for Drivers only and are not intended to impose any responsibility on Cleveland Speedway, Inc. Changes from the 2007 rules - changes/additions are highlighted in blue and deletions are highlighed in green with a strike through
Cleveland Speedway, Inc. shall incur no liability to any party, whether a participant, spectator, guest or business invitee.
B-HOBBY RULES:
- CAR AND BODY
- 1973 or newer full frame cars only. No unibody cars Allowed. Camaro, Novas, Etc.
- 108" Min. Wheelbase
- Stock Steel Bodies Only
- Hulling is allowed, but must retain full stock firewall and floor pan.
- All doors must be welded shut
- 6" spoiler with side braces. 12" long no higher than spoiler
- ENGINE
- Any Cubic Inch
- Any intake, any carburetor allowed
- Headers permitted.
- No angle plug or aluminum heads
- O.E.M. Ignitions only
- ENGINE CLAIM RULE
- To claim you must be on the lead lap and finish in the top five. Can only claim positions in front of you.
- To claim an engine is $1050.00 with the track getting $50.00
- Claim must be made within five (5) minutes of completion of race
- Claim does not include headers, but does include everything else from fan to flywheel and breather to oil pan
- Any driver who refuses to sell loses all winnings and points for that night. Loses his right to claim for the rest of the season and must sit out for two (2) race weeks. This means the driver and the car, regardless of being sold or whatever.
- SUSPENSION
- Springs and shocks must remain in stock location
- No wedge bolts or adjustable spring cups
- All A-Frames and control arms must remain stock, may be lengthened or shortened
- All steering components must remain stock
- Stock type rear-ends only, may be locked.
- No traction aiding devices allowed, 90/10 shock, pull bars, lift bars etc.
- TRANSMISSION
- aNo Aftermarket or direct drive transmissions
- ROLLCAGE
- Must have at least main loop with braces running to front and rear
- If drivers door is hulled, you must run at least (3) bars in it.
- Full roll cages are recommended
- WEIGHT
- 3100 lbs min at any time
- FUEL CELL
- Fuel cells are mandatory
- Must be in 20 gauge steel containers and securely fastened
- TIRES AND WHEELS
- Any Legal Hoosier 1600 or 55 (must be shoulder plated).
- Steel wheels only 12" max
- No wide five wheels allowed
- Bead locks OK.
