Cleveland Speedway 2008 Rules

These rules are for Drivers only and are not intended to impose any responsibility on Cleveland Speedway, Inc.

Cleveland Speedway, Inc. shall incur no liability to any party, whether a participant, spectator, guest or business invitee.

LATE MODEL

30lb weight break with approved mufflers

  1. ENGINE SIZES AND WEIGHT LIMITS
    1. 362 CUBIC INCH 2200LBS. (at any time)
      1. .215cc Brodix Aluminum Spec. Heads and intake, no Titanium Valves.
        Part Numbers for Cleveland speedway include
        1. Chevy (SP CH SAS/CLE TN SPDWY) no more than 215cc
        2. Ford (SP FO SAS/CLE TN SPDWY)
        3. Mopar (SP MO SAS/CLE TN SPDWY) (may be purchased from any Brodix dealer) No modification of any type to heads. All valves & components must meet Brodix Specs.
          1. All Spec Heads will be supplied with CNC bowl blend and intake port matching.
          2. No grinding or blending of CNC work is allowed
          3. No grinding or polishing of any kind is allowed anywhere on the castings
          4. No use of any substance that may change or alter the shape or size of ports or combustion chambers is allowed.
          5. A maximum valve size of 2.080 intake and 1.600 exhaust will be allowed for all spec heads.
          6. Valve seats and guides are to remain as manufactured and in their cast positions.
          7. Valve angles are to remain as manufactured." The original seat center locations as provided by the head manufacturer may not be altered.
          8. No tapering or reshaping of valve guides will be allowed.
          9. Minimum valve stem diameter is 11/32 inch - no titanium
          10. Spec cylinder head serial numbers must remain on the head and may not be defaced or altered.
          11. No welding or modifications are allowed to the head castings.

      8. One four barrel carburetor
      9. 12" rear spoiler (optional)

      1. 1. Any steel 23-degree head with no more than 215cc runners and 60cc combustion - no polishing, porting or acid etching.
      2. Flat top pistons
      3. Flat tappet cam
      4. Steel block
      5. Any Steel rod or crank (no titanium)
      6. Dry sump OK
      7. Any ignition
      8. One four barrel carburetor
      9. 12 " rear spoiler
    3. OPEN ENGINE 2350 LBS. (at any time)
      1. Aluminum block OK
      2. 8" rear spoiler
    4. FUEL
      1. Gas Only
    5. WHEELBASE
      1. 103 inch minimum, measured from center of hub to center of hub
    6. FRAME
      1. Steel tubular frame only.
    7. REAR END
      1. Any type permitted
    8. TRANSMISSION
      1. All transmissions must have forward and reverse gears. No Straight drives.
    9. TIRES
      1. Same as S.A.S
    10. SPOILER
      1. 8 inches high x 72 inches wide
      2. All measurements total of material
      3. 12 inch spoiler for Spec Head Engine or Steel Head Engine

ANY ADJUSTMENT, ADDITIONS OR AMENDMENTS BY OFFICIALS IN THE INTEREST OF EQUAL COMPETITION CAN BE MADE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION
